Roundabout

I had a dream a dream that questioned me
I was in a car on a road of scrutiny
I’d travelled quite far when up ahead in front of me
Lay a roundabout of choices with a sign saying choose your destiny

I drove on to the roundabout which I shared with no-one
My head was full fear and doubt without a glimpse to go on
I kept going ‘round that roundabout until my car ran low on
Fuel which is patience and took off into the distance

And still now though I’m awake I’m staring at a roundabout
I don’t know which road to take to stay or go on walkabout
So I’ll stay another day and find something nice to talk about
But I’m being moulded like clay and those plans are slipping away

So this dream’s come true I’m here Standing at a roundabout
I might just make it through the blue I might just sort it out
Well I hope I soon subdue the torment of the roundabout
