Following Monkey Mayhem in a certain corner of Cardiff's concrete jungle I will from now on be performing in a cage wearing a helmet - nothing pervy, just survival!

I don't know why it's so fucked out there, but it is. My most recent experience certainly stood out from 20 years of playing some of the more "interesting" venues that can favour you with a booking. The wounds have healed, well, the physical ones; let's hope the other poets' and musicians' attempts to colour our lives will be safe from this sad, irrelevant and redundant display of moronic, manic machismo.
