The Phoenix And The Minstrel

Where you’ve been and what you’ve done
What you’ve seen and lost and won makes you girl
What you’ve been dealt’s beyond a blow
You took and felt and knelt below a hell girl
But you have something that you bring
Like a phoenix stands and spreads her wings and
Shoots from the flames to flower and bring me happiness
Where I’ve been and what I’ve done
Is where this present me begun it made me girl
What I’ve achieved and taken on
All that I’ve grieved and bled upon is me girl
But I have something that I bring
Like a seasoned minstrel who’ll play and sing
And strive to give you nothing less than happiness

We’re refugees of uncertainties but we have the keys
To open up a new world
We’re running ‘cross the sands of time
We’ve often fallen but that’s far behind we’ve a new world now
Let’s take us by the hearts and horns and slam the door behind us
All’s so clear and real here
Let’s take us over and far beyond this threshold on tight now
We’re jumping do not fear dear it’s so near dear

Where we are who we’ve become
How ever hard we’ve overcome this weight girl
What we can give to love and live
The times we’ve yet to breathe’ll be with us soon girl
For we have something that we sing
That’s here without trying it just is and it brings us
Nothing short of smiles and love and happiness
Where we’re going is never sure
For our coils are long and there’s so much more to this world girl
We’re riding on a wave of a song
Residing where we both belong with free will girl
What we’ve got is full and true
And the world would seem wrong without me and you
As one from two to wonder at our happiness

Laughing at the desperate games people’s processed poultry claims about us
Laughing at the gossip chain as we free ourselves and wrap each other around us
